Position Overview

Joining the team as a Sales Development Team Lead is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales development professional looking to step into a leadership role while continuing to contribute hands-on to the business.

 

This is a player-coach position where you’ll lead a team of up to four SDRs while carrying a team quota and supporting one AE’s accounts. You’ll be responsible for developing your team, driving excellence in outreach, and shaping the future of sales development at ProsperOps. You’ll also work closely with the Head of Sales Development on campaign strategy, outreach innovation, and process optimization, while collaborating with our AE, Partner, and Marketing teams to maximize impact.

 

This role is ideal for a cold-call killer and multichannel prospector who loves coaching, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is eager to grow into a Sales Development Manager or Account Executive role.

 

Impact & Influence

In the role of Sales Development Team Lead, you will play a dual part in coaching and contribution. You’ll be accountable for your team’s pipeline generation by carrying a team quota, while ensuring your SDRs are equipped to exceed expectations.

Your leadership impact will extend beyond managing daily activity. You’ll:

  • Run weekly 1:1s with your direct reports, providing coaching, career guidance, and support.
  • Partner with leadership to optimize processes, tools, and outreach sequences.
  • Influence the quality and consistency of pipeline across the SDR org.
  • Collaborate closely with AEs, Marketing, and Partners to align efforts and maximize joint outreach.
  • Play a role in interviewing and hiring, shaping the future of the team.

This role offers the unique opportunity to make an immediate revenue impact while developing leadership skills that pave the way toward Sales Development Manager or Account Executive career paths.

 

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Carry a team quota and ensure your SDRs consistently achieve and exceed targets.
  • Lead a team of up to four SDRs, fostering professional growth and consistent success.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s and provide ongoing coaching on calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and data-driven prospecting best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales Development to align campaign strategy, hiring, training, and tool optimization.
  • Track and analyze team performance data to uncover insights and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with Marketing and Channel Partners to maximize joint outreach and campaign quality.
  • Play an active role in hiring and onboarding new SDRs.

Strategic Contributions

  • Support one AE’s accounts to strengthen pipeline generation.
  • Innovate on outreach methods, build sequences, and continuously test and improve SDR processes.
  • Help design and launch new product campaigns in collaboration with the broader go-to-market team.
  • Provide feedback loops to Marketing and leadership on campaign effectiveness and lead quality.

Required Experience/Skills

  • Proven success as an SDR with consistent quota attainment; prior experience mentoring or leading peers is highly advantageous.
  • Mastery of outbound prospecting skills: cold calling, cold emailing, and LinkedIn messaging.
  • Strong ability to coach others and elevate team performance.
  • Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Surfe, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Nooks, with the ability to evaluate and optimize sales technology.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills to guide decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence both prospects and team members.
  • Level-headed leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and can work through adversity with resilience.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to balance leadership responsibilities with strategic contributions.
  • Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and excellence in sales.
